Mills County Longhorns Rally for Scholarship

Despite its proximity to Austin—only 90 miles away—it's still a bit uncommon for graduates in Mills County to attend The University of Texas. So when the 2026 valedictorian of Goldthwaite High School, Amber Bridges, was accepted into the UT School of Nursing, local alumni rallied to present a scholarship at the school's annual award ceremony in May.
