Burnt Orange Meets El Cerro Negro in Nicaragua

Anurag Kulkarni, BS ’23, hits the slopes of El Cerro Negro, an active cinder cone volcano in Nicaragua, as part of a three-week backpacking trip through Central America in December 2025. Kulkarni is a diehard Longhorn who worked at DKR before attending UT and brings his Texas pride everywhere he goes, including a two-month post-graduation backpacking trip from Japan to Egypt.
