Longhorn Network to Carry UTSA Football Games
The Longhorn Network will be carrying five more football games this season, although not games in which the Texas Longhorns will be playing.
Beginning with this Saturday, the Longhorn Network will show home games by the upstart UT-San Antonio Roadrunners, who for the first time ever fielded a football team.
“The addition of UTSA football games further enhances our college football offerings and provides great content for sports fans in the state of Texas,” says Dave Brown, vice president of programming for the Longhorn Network.
Hopefully the addition of UTSA games will put more pressure on cable providers to carry LHN. For UT’s home opener last week against Rice, only a fraction of the Longhorn nation got to see the game.
Here’s the schedule of games for UTSA:
Date Time (CT) Matchup
Sept. 10 1 p.m. McMurry at UTSA
Sept. 24 1 p.m. Bacone at UTSA
Oct. 8 4:30 p.m. South Alabama at UTSA
Oct. 29 12:30 p.m. Georgia State at UTSA
(also TBA Kansas at Texas)
Nov. 19 TBA Minot State at UTSA
