Texas Football Selling Off Lockers At Orange-White Scrimmage
As you don your UT jersey on gameday Saturdays this fall, why not grab it from a locker just like the Longhorn players do?
UT Athletics is giving fans that chance. At the Spring Jamboree Orange-White scrimmage Sunday, April 3, 90 official Texas football lockers will be for sale. Mack Brown totally rebuilt his coaching staff after last season, but this takes cleaning house to a new level.
The 92″-tall lockers were used by players between 1998 and 2010 — that means smelly jerseys worn by the likes of Ricky Williams, Vince Young, Derrick Johnson, Cory Redding, Colt McCoy, and Jordan Shipley all called these lockers home.
The lockers will be sold for $300 on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the ticket office inside the North End Zone of the stadium.
After you secure your piece of history (one per person so the burnt-orange ferver can be spread around), get the first glimpse of next year’s team and see how the new gang of coaches has transformed them.
Admission to the scrimmage is free. After the game you can pick up your locker or hang around and watch Toy Story 3 on the Jumbotron.
