On the occasion of the Alcalde’s 100th anniversary, we asked Longhorns what “a University of the first class” means to them.

At UT anything is possible, and that’s what makes it first-class. It doesn’t matter what your background is or who you know when you arrive. The success that I’ve found in my career is, I think, because others have helped me along the way and because I put my team and my community first. I learned that at UT.
