Illuminating Bike Safety
The dusk settled in on UT’s LBJ Library Plaza one evening in November—but it didn’t get dark.
Instead, the night was illuminated by LED light-adorned student hula hoopers, jugglers, baton twirlers, and dancers for Light|Night, the Bike Light Dance Project. A collaboration between UT’s art and art history, theater and dance, and architecture programs, the performance promoted bike safety after dark and was the grand finale of UT’s Safe Cycling Campaign, which began in August 2011.
