Didn’t attend Camp Texas as a student? After watching the video above, you’ll be sorry you missed it!

Following a trend on college campuses, the students involved with Camp Texas turned to a catchy “lip dub” to promote the summer retreat, which prepares incoming freshmen for life on the Forty Acres.

During three days at Camp Balcones Springs, campers get the chance to connect with fellow UT newcomers, upperclassmen, and distinguished faculty through fun social events like the Camp Texas Olympics, a camp-wide game of Capture the Flag, and the Lonestar Casino Luau Party. And in true summer-camp style, counselors and campers alike get to spend free time enjoying sand volleyball, waterslides, and a blob on the lake.

Camp Texas prides itself on creating lasting friendships that make the University seem a bit smaller to new Longhorns, and they want everyone to get in on the fun.

Check out these fun-loving current camp counselors and former attendees getting down to Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” in hopes of recruiting incoming freshmen for Camp Texas 2011.
