UT Journalism Students Launch Website For National Championship Week
Some intrepid UT journalism students have launched a killer new website in advance of Thursday’s national championship game.
The site, HornsInPasadena.com, seeks to offer all-out, wall-to-wall coverage of UT football’s second run at the national title in four years.
It has all the trappings of Web 2.0 site, which was the whole point. For the students, it’s a way for them to show off their multimedia skills (they want jobs, after all, when they graduate). For fans, it’s a feast of photos, videos, reports from the streets of Pasadena, and a cool application that monitors chatter about the Longhorns on Twitter.
Scope out their 2006 Rose Bowl section to get primed for the game, and keep checking back. They’ll be updating throughout the week.
KUT’s Mose Buchele got some great interviews with the students for his report on the new site here.
