Should the Texas vs. A&M Football Rivalry Live On? (Poll)
Now that the last scheduled Texas vs. Texas A&M football game is over (27-25. Remember it!), and the Thanksgiving food comas are ending, there are rumblings about saving the 117-year rivalry between the Longhorns and Aggies.
Joe Manero wrote in the Houston Chronicle Tuesday that the city of Houston should make a play to host the game at Reliant Stadium, the way the Texas-OU Red River Rivalry game is held at the Cotton Bowl or the A&M vs. Arkansas game is now scheduled for Cowboys Stadium, both in Dallas.
There are 84,026 UT grads in the Houston area, by the way, and 54,535 in the DFW area.
On the other hand, Jimmy Burch of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Cotton Bowl officials would be over the moon about hosting the matchup there in Dallas.
What do you think? Should the rivalry move to one of those two cities, keep alternating between the schools, or just be allowed to become history?
