Texas Volleyball To Spread Breast Cancer Awareness
One day a year Longhorn fans are discouraged from sporting burnt orange and asked instead to scour their wardrobes for pink.
That day has come. Cheer on the Texas volleyball team this Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m., as they take on the Colorado Buffaloes in the third annual Volley for the Cure match.
Part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Volley for the Cure, sponsored by Scott & White Healthcare, is intended to raise breast cancer awareness throughout UT’s campus and surrounding community.
UT Athletics is offering a $4 Volley for the Cure bundle pack, complete with a general admission ticket, free small popcorn, and a coupon to purchase a pink Horns for Hope T-shirt for $9.99. Bundle packs must be ordered in advance, and can be done so by calling 512-232-3865.
Pink pom poms will be handed out at the game, so make sure to match. And yes, boys, salmon counts.
