Three Generations of Longhorns and the Patriarch Who Paved the Way

Dr. H. Ross Garza, BA ’49, recently celebrated his 96th birthday and toasted the Longhorns on New Year’s Day during the Sugar Bowl, surrounded three generations of his UT family. Garza is a former captain in the Army and a renown OBGYN who has practiced for more than 50 years in Corpus Christi. Garza’s children and grandchildren went on to earn a further combined 71 years of education at UT Austin, including two doctors and a nurse.
