Texas Ex Named One of New York’s 50 Most Powerful Women
On Nov. 1, Linda Addison and five fellow high-achieving UT alumni will cross the LBJ Library stage and slip on the orange blazer that denotes the Texas Exes’ highest honor, the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
It will be the latest in a long line of honors for powerhouse attorney Addison, who this week was named to Crain’s “50 Most Powerful Women in New York” list.
Addison, BA ’73, JD ’76, Life Member, is global head of dispute resolution and litigation at Norton Rose Fulbright. At UT, she was the first female managing editor of the Texas Law Review. She is also a founder and president of UT’s Center for Women in Law.
Coming in at #35 on Crain’s list, Addison joins the ranks of magnates like fashion designer Diane von Furstenburg (#18), New York Times editor Jill Abramson (#5), and IBM CEO Virginia Rometty (#1).
