Linebacker Acho Named Player of the Week
Senior linebacker Emmanuel Acho has been named the player of the week by the Lott IMPACT foundation, which bestows a national award, the Lott IMPACT Trophy.
The honor places equal weight on athletic and academic achievement. Acho has excelled in both realms. In addition to his stellar performance on the field, he’s been named to the Texas Athletics Director’s Honor Roll six times and has been a finalist for numerous community service and academic awards, such as the Campbell Award and the Lowe’s Senior Class Award.
As part of the honor, the IMPACT foundation will donate $1,000 to UT’s general scholarship fund. Acho is also a quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, to be awarded in December.
