Top-Ranked Golf Team Gets Third-Straight Win (Watch)

Not every year can bring a national championship in football, even for an athletics powerhouse like UT.

That’s why it’s nice that even in our gridiron-rebuilding years, we have plenty of other totally dominant teams to cheer on.

Take men’s golf. Here’s a sport in which, while LSU is ranked a distant 38th, UT is number one.

On Tuesday, the team won its third tournament in a row, the Islesworth Collegiate Invitational in Orlando, Fla. The team finished 10 strokes ahead of the next-highest team.

Freshman Jordan Spieth scored his first collegiate win by leading all individual golfers with a total of 205. Senior Dylan Frittelli finished in second place.
