Venturetech Hosts the Longhorn Racing Team

Larry Keast, BS ’67, Life Member, the CEO and founder of Venturetech, hosted the Longhorn Racing Team as well as alumni from the UT Cockrell School of Engineering in a meeting to explore career opportunities and life choices. The students enthusiastically shared their challenges, successes, and more, as Keast offered a tour of the engineering department and manufacturing facility of Venturetech, a company he founded in his garage in 1980 that has now crafted and sold more than 1,000 patented, diesel-hydraulic drilling machines, called power swivels and top drives.
