For the first time, a group of volunteers wearing burnt orange helped with the annual clean-up of the Bonfire Memorial on the Texas A&M University campus. After the recent passing of a longtime member of the community, Jerry Ebanks, MA ’66, the Texas Exes Brazos Valley Chapter chose to honor him as well as his son, Michael Ebanks, who died as a freshman in the 1999 Bonfire tragedy.

Ahead of the 24th annual remembrance, the chapter joined about 50 other volunteers to clean the site, including the memorial portal for the late Michael.
