Longhorn Completes Iconic Spartathlon

Thierry Joffrain, BS ’98, JD ’01, MS ’04, completed one of the world’s most difficult and iconic races, the historical Spartathlon, an ultramarathon which stretches 153 miles between Athens and Sparta. To prepare for the race, Joffrain received critical data from UT’s Exercise and Sport Psychology Lab. He also has dreams of a race from the UT Tower to College Station, two locations almost exactly 100 miles apart, which is a traditional length for an ultramarathon.
