Longhorn Aviator, Middle East Vet Steps Down After 20 Years

Lt. Col. Matthew Robert Pasquali, BA ’02, Life Member, retired June 30, 2022, after 20 years of service as an aviator flying AV-8B Harrier attack jets for the Marines. Pasquali was a member of Naval ROTC at UT and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps upon graduation. He went on to serve in combat missions in the Middle East, including Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Pacific. His career included two years as training officer on loan to the Harrier wing of the Italian Navy in Taranto, Italy, where he met his wife Sally Roberts, the owner and operator of a boutique travel service called Slice of Tuscany. Matt now flies for United Airlines and lives with his wife in the Kansas City area.
