Albino Squirrel Brings Good Luck, Pizza to Students at PCL
According to legend, if student spots an albino squirrel on test day, they will ace the test. With that in mind, the vice provost of libraries, Lorraine Haricombe, pictured left of the squirrel, invited Ken Capps, BJ ’82, Life Member, to wear the costume of an albino squirrel and roam the floors of the Perry-Castañeda Library delivering pizza to weary students during finals week. Capps is a self-proclaimed mascot freak with extensive experience, including for the state champion Strawn Greyhounds, as well a member of the UT Libraries Council and a past president of the Texas Exes Dallas Chapter.
