Entire Petroleum Engineering PhD Class of 1979 Reunited in Maydelle

The entire summer 1979 PhD graduating class from the UT Department of Petroleum Engineering gathered for a photo in Maydelle, Texas.

Paul Bommer, BS ’76, MS ’77, PhD ’79, and Tim Taylor, BS ’71, MS ’72, PhD ’79, Life Members, are pictured in front of Taylor’s old high school in Maydelle.

Bommer is a distinguished senior lecturer in the UT Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering and Taylor is retired after a distinguished career in industry and academia. Taylor was named a distinguished alumnus of the department for 2017.
