Four Generations Celebrate a New Grad

Four generations of Longhorns put up their horns to celebrate Emily Schrader, BS, ’12, after she received her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center this spring.

The family re-created her original UT graduation photo, seen below, taken in 2012 with her grandparents, parents, aunt, and uncles who all attended UT. Schrader's great-grandfather, Everett Spruce, was also a member of the faculty of the art department at UT-Austin from 1940-74 and chaired the department from 1949-51.
