Longhorn Ensemble Tours Around the World

On May 18, the UT Wind Ensemble started their “Around the World Tour”. Over the course of four weeks the ensemble traveled through three continents and performed in nine cities. The ensemble stopped in Honolulu, Okazaki City, Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong, Macau, Mhenzhen, Beijing, and finally London before returning to Austin.
During their stop in Tokyo, the ensemble’s saxophone section had a chance to meet their counterparts in the White Tie Wind Ensemble of the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, as well as the college’s Professor of Saxophone, Masato Ikegami.
