Juliet Garcia, PhD ’76, Life Member, Distinguished Alumna, hooks ’em with her granddaughter, Julieta Rico, at the UT Brownsville Commencement on Saturday, May 10. Rico graduated from the UTB Math and Science Academy and will attend UT-Austin this fall, while Garcia is the president of UT-Brownsville and future leader of the new UT Institute of the Americas in the Rio Grande Valley.
