Magnum in Motion

Magnum in Motion

Journalism has come a long way since Magnum Photos—the first global photo cooperative to be operated by photographers—was founded in 1947.

With more than 300 photographs, magazines, and films, the Harry Ransom Center’s new exhibition, Radical Transformation: Magnum Photos into the Digital Age, documents the agency’s evolution into the 21st century—a place where video, apps, and other multimedia components are the name of the game.

The exhibition draws from a 200,000-piece collection of Magnum Photos recently donated to UT by Michael and Susan Dell, Glenn and Amanda Fuhrman, and John and Amy Phelan. Radical Transformation will be on display at the Harry Ransom Center until Jan. 5, 2014.
