#CT2013: First Camp Texas Sessions Generate Social Buzz
From making new friends to getting blobbed or participating in a paint war, UT freshmen who attended the first two 2013 sessions of Camp Texas took to Twitter this week to reflect on their favorite CT memories.
Campers are throwing around phrases like “the best thing ever” to describe the Texas Exes’ annual three-day summer camp for incoming UT freshmen. “It’s a stress-free, low-key, nice way to meet a lot of new freshmen from all different backgrounds,” says camp attendee Morgan Starr, who was voted session one’s Most Likely to Become a Camp Counselor. “But we all have the common denominator that we are Longhorns now.”
On top of traditional events like the end-of-camp luau, a color paint war, and serious group bonding, tweeting campers pointed to new activities like “CT Shenanigans”—where attendees try to pull the best pranks—as highlights.
Hear and see more from the Class of 2017’s Camp Texas experience in the Storify below! Sessions three, four, and five kick-off in the coming week and conclude on Aug. 20.
