Longhorn Village Earns Five-Star Medicare Rating
Visitors to Longhorn Village, the Texas Exes’ UT-themed retirement community in Steiner Ranch, regularly remark that the place seems more like a luxury resort than a place to retire. But it’s not just the gleaming rooms and beautifully landscaped walking trails that are first-class—it’s also the standard of medical care.
Longhorn Village’s Health Care Center—a comprehensive center that offers everything from short-term rehabilitation to skilled nursing and memory care—has received a coveted five-star quality rating from Medicare, the center announced Thursday. Only 11 other facilities in Central Texas have earned the rating, which is based on results from health inspections, the quality and quantity of medical staff, and measures of residents’ health outcomes.
“The Health Care Center is thrilled to receive this prestigious five-star rating,” said Health Care Center administrator Joe Dennis in a statement. “We take great pride in the level of health services we offer our residents, and this achievement is the direct result of the hard work and dedication of every member of our outstanding team.”
