Julie Blackmer, BS '11, teaches second grade in Houston's Alief Independent School District. For the school's Halloween Storybook Parade, Blackmer chose a Longhorn theme: her students read three UT books purchased at the University Co-op—and they all dressed as Longhorns for the school parade.
