UT Professors to Talk Books on C-SPAN


Sanford Levinson and Julia Mickenberg will be featured this weekend on C-SPAN2 Book TV as the first of 10 UT faculty members providing interviews about their books on topics including history, public affairs, science, and international affairs.

A C-SPAN film crew interviewed the faculty members in the University’s Main Building on Oct. 24 following the annual Texas Book Festival in Austin.

Here’s when to catch the interviews:

  • Julia Mickenberg (American Studies) on her book Tales for Little Rebels: 12:45 p.m., Nov. 13; and 12:45 p.m., Nov. 14
  • Steven Weinberg (Physics) on his book Lake Views: 10 a.m and 6 p.m., Nov. 20; noon, Nov. 21
  • Lewis Gould (History) on his books My Dearest Nellie and Theodore Roosevelt: 10:30 a.m., Nov. 20; and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 21
  • Robert Auerbach (Public Affairs) on his book Deception and Abuse at the Fed: 10:40 a.m., Nov. 20; and 12:40 p.m., Nov. 21
