Where the Money Goes
Ever wonder what UT does with all of the donations it receives? This video, originally posted on the Giving to UT site, shows the importance of donations through the stories of students. UT has recently passed the halfway mark in its $3 billion capital campaign.
As of September 1, $1.65 billion had been raised from 751,780 gifts. Last year alone UT raised $374 million, which when you think about it, is more than $1 million a day.
115,531 alumni, some 26 percent of living UT graduates, have contributed to the campaign, and nearly 90,000 non-alumni have contributed as well. 35 percent of alumni donors contributed for the first time.
