From Oklahoma to Lubbock and down in College Station / you ’bout to feel the wrath of Longhorn Nation.

These lyrics are from “Hustle Hard (Texas),” a Texas-fight anthem penned and performed by Brownwood, Texas, native Rashad Deal.

The song, which is spreading virally online, was inspired by Deal’s best friend and Longhorn football player Kenny Vaccaro, who wanted a UT-themed tune for the team to listen to during workouts.

“At first, I just mentioned some friends in the song,” Deal says. “But after some more of the guys liked it, I decided to make it more of a theme song for the entire program.”

Deal is currently lobbying to get “Hustle Hard (Texas)” played in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on game days.

“I think the fans will love it,” he says.

What do you think? Does “Hustle Hard (Texas)” deserve a place in the gameday lineup?
