Trends: Spotify, Crop Tops, and All Things '90s

Spotify

The latest thing in music streaming, Spotify is a Swedish import that launched stateside in July. Invited users have unlimited access to a 15-million song database—for six months. Paid plans cut out ads and data limits, but for $0, many UT students are willing to suffer commercials.

Cropped Tops

Often called belly shirts, cropped tops are designed to hit between the bottom of the chest and the natural waistline. Longhorns are sporting tank top, poncho, and cardigan ver- sions.

’90s Revival

Nineteen isn’t too young to get nostalgic for childhood, is it? For today’s UT students, the children of the ’90s, grunge is back. Think flannel button-downs, penny loafers, and denim everything. Add Nickelodeon’s recent revival of classic kid shows All That and Doug to the mix and you get full-on ’90s pandemonium.
