This fall, Dodds enters his 30th year as men’s athletics director. He is the longest-serving Division 1 athletics director in the country.

During his 30 years, Dodds has ushered in the golden era of UT Athletics. A quiet family man, shrewd businessman, former track star and coach, Dodds is the brains behind UT’s $136 million a year athletics empire. Kevin Hegarty, UT’s chief financial officer, calls Dodds “the best businessman on campus.”
