Exes Get Enthusiastic And Unique New Chapter
It was a big day for Texas Exes out in the Hill Country as the newest Texas Exes chapter was chartered.
This group is at Steiner Ranch’s Longhorn Village retirement community, which was developed in conjunction with the Ex-Students’ Association and opened to residents last fall.
The group becomes the 91st chartered Exes chapter. There are also 45 geographic Exes networks operating worldwide.
Around 80 people turned out for Wednesday morning’s charter ceremony, which included singing “The Eyes of Texas” and an elaborate, hand-decorated Tower cake.
This new chapter is an enthusiastic one, Texas Exes executive director and CEO Jim Boon said. “They all wore orange, and they got into it.”
May we all be as active and enthusiastic as this bunch of Longhorn fanatics when we get older!
