Special 125th Anniversary Commemorative Issue – Give Us Your Feedback

For those of you who by chance have not yet seen the special, commemorative JanFeb 2010 issue of The Alcalde, behold its glorious cover.

A hat tip to former editor Avrel Seale and to photographer and Photoshop Jedi Blake Justice at the Texas Union for their creative work designing it.

This exhaustively researched and beautifully written history of the Texas Exes at 125 years tells the story of how the Association has changed over the years and yet always remained true to its founders’ mission — to be an indispensible advocate and friend of the University of Texas.

You’ll also find some pleasantly wacky miscellany: a list of the 14 most random things the Association has ever been a part of, the quirkiest membership pleas, oodles of old, interesting pictures, and the winners of the Flying Longhorns Photo Contest.

If you have read it, let us know what you think with an e-mail to alcaldeletters@alumni.utexas.edu. We may feature your comment in the March/April issue.

If you haven’t yet picked it up or it didn’t make it to you, you can read the feature articles here.

But do call and make sure we have your correct address on file. We’ll be glad to send you a hard copy.

Happy reading! We look forward to hearing from you. Hook ’em!
