Longhorn Village Chapter Shows Off For ‘Good Morning America’
When the residents of Longhorn Village heard that Good Morning America was looking for active older Americans, they know they were just the kind of people the producers had in mind.
From taking wellness classes to constantly hosting professors, coaches, students, and musicians from the Forty Acres, the members of this very special Texas Exes chapter stay as active as it gets.
They were about to celebrate that fact anyway, with a Dr. Seuss theme for upcoming Active Aging Week: “Expand Your Experience: Oh, the Places You’ll Go.” So they made Dr. Seuss hats and T-shirts and submitted a cheering video clip to Good Morning America too.
They did 10 takes, with some people even climbing on benches in the back, and everyone cheering and putting their horns up.
“They were just having a ball with it,” Texas Exes chief operating officer Bill McCausland says.
No word on whether they’ll be featured on Good Morning America yet, but we’ll keep you posted!
