World Record for Longest Horns Comes Home to Texas
Scott Evans, ’78, Life Member, is the owner of nine-year-old longhorn Sato, who in September set Guinness World Records for the largest living and the largest ever steer horn spread. Sato has won eight world championships and also holds a world record from the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America for his horns, which span nearly 10-feet-five-inches (126-and-two-thirds inches). Evans has been raising longhorns for 23 years, and Sato’s horns will continue to grow throughout his life.
