San Angelo Exes Award Scholarships
Members of the Texas Exes San Angelo Chapter gathered on June 16 at the Legrand Center for a luncheon to celebrate their latest round of scholarship recipients. The chapter has been awarding scholarships to exemplary area students for more than 25 years. Four incoming UT students from the San Angelo area each received a $1,250 scholarship and were recognized at the event.
Jeff Traylor, the UT football team’s tight ends and special teams coach, also spoke to the group about how head coach Charlie Strong is implementing his core values with the team. (Read here about the chapter’s long tradition of bringing outstanding speakers to San Angelo.) “He was very humble, but articulate and sincere,” says chapter leader Max Parker, BBA ’73, JD ’76, Life Member.
