Texas 4000’s Journey to Anchorage Kicks Off in Fredericksburg

Five members of the Texas Exes Fredericksburg Chapter took part in the Texas 4000 Atlas Ride in Lampasas on June 1. The Atlas Ride is day one of a 70-day journey from Austin to Anchorage, a celebratory cycling event to raise money and awareness of Texas 4000’s mission, which is, according to its website, “to cultivate student leaders and engage communities in the fight against cancer.”

This team rode from the Hanna Sculpture Garden in Lampasas, with two members covering 25 miles and the other three covering 50 miles. Pictured left to right are Patricia Sigg, BA, BBA ’87; Thomas Sigg; Carla Herbig, BSN ’82; and Diana Houston, BS ’80, Life Member. Not pictured is rider and photographer David Herbig.
