Longhorn Promoted in the Texas Air National Guard

Yvette (Trahan) Yarbrough, BA ’02, Life Member, was all smiles as she was promoted to lieutenant colonel in the Texas Air National Guard. Yarbrough is a former active duty Air Force judge advocate and now serves as the special victims’ counsel in the Texas Air National Guard and is assistant general counsel at the Texas Medical Board in Austin.

The Commander of the Texas Air National Guard, Major General David McMinn, as well as Yvette’s son, Connor Yarbrough, pinned on her new rank insignia at the ceremony.

Yvette’s husband, Chase Yarbrough, BA ’07, Life Member, was able to watch the ceremony through his cell phone, pictured right, while in Southwest Asia on his current deployment. Chase is a captain and full-time Black Hawk instructor pilot supervisor in the Texas Army National Guard.
