A Longhorn on the Appalachian Trail
Cory Scanlon, BA ’09, Life Member, hiked a section of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia and North Carolina this summer. He took a little break when he reached the Woody Gap, part of the trail near Suches, Georgia.
During his undergrad stint on the Forty Acres, Scanlon was part of the school’s ROTC, which led him to serve in the army after graduation. He just finished his time as a captain in the Army and hopes to return to UT soon to study law.
