New Year, New View

Wonder what Remington’s Mountain Man looks like upside down? Longhorns got a head start on their New Year’s resolutions at the Blanton Museum of Art’s monthly Yoga in the Galleries program, part of the museum’s long-running free Third Thursday event.

Started in 2006 and led by a local performance artist, Yoga in the Galleries provides more than 20 yogis with a visually stimulating space to practice in during their lunch breaks.

“We developed Yoga in the Galleries to offer a unique point of entry to the museum,” says the Blanton’s PR and marketing director Kathleen Brady Stimpert, “and as a new way to experience the collection.”
