An Epic Burnt-Orange Wedding

We see a lot of Longhorn wedding photos at the Alcalde, but this has to be one of the most epic yet—right up there with the martini-serving Longhorn ice sculpture and the giant Tower wedding cake in terms of dramatic appeal.

There’s no bells and whistles behind this photo of Adelphine Kogut, BBA ’08, MPA ’08, and Todd Kogut, MBA ’12, Life Members, in their wedding attire: just some serious Texas pride and romance.

The pair, who live in Austin, got married Aug. 11 at UT’s Blanton Museum of Art. Luckily, the Tower just happened to be lit orange that night—so it felt a little like the whole campus was celebrating with the newlyweds.

“We both attended UT, and the school holds a special place in our hearts,” Adelphine says.  “We love art and UT, so the Blanton was the perfect setting for our wedding.”
