LGBT Network Celebrates Austin Pride

Austin’s rainbow got a little more burnt-orange this Saturday when the Texas Exes LGBT Network marched for the first time in the city’s 21st-annual Pride Parade.

“Texas Exes did a splendid job of representing UT with a group of 40 alumni, current students, and allies,” says Isabel Longoria, MPaff ’12, the outreach chair for the LGBT Network, which officially launched in May.

One highlight, Longoria says, was when the parade organizers played “Texas Fight!” as the burnt-orange-clad Longhorns marched by.

More information about the activities of the LGBT Network—which has chapters in Austin and Houston—is available on the network’s Facebook page.
