Princeton Review Names UT 10th-Best Value in America
The University of Texas at Austin is the nation’s 10th-best value for a public university education, according to a new ranking by the Princeton Review.
At The Alcalde, we’re firm believers that a university’s value is about more than just its cost. So while all rankings should be taken with a grain of salt, we like how the Princeton Review considered multiple factors—not just tuition and fees—in this list. Student satisfaction surveys, financial aid, and the amount of debt carried by graduating seniors were all taken into account.
Last year, the Princeton Review included UT in its unranked Top 100 list of best values, but not in the top 10. So this news is one small victory for everyone—from academic advisors to President Powers to concerned alumni—fighting to safeguard the University’s value against a rising tide of challenges.
