Mark Cavazos, BS ’03, was eating lunch at Houston’s Buffalo Grill when he realized the diner sitting next to him was none other than football legend Vince Young. The two Texas Exes talked about their alma mater for about half an hour, Cavazos says. “Vince was engaging, respectful, and easygoing once he knew that he was having lunch next to another UT alum,” he remembers.
And what did Young say when asked about his future career plans? “He expressed interest in wanting to play for the Texans here in his hometown,” Cavazos reports.
