A Texas Exes Wedding
Alumni often attend Texas Exes chapter events in search of camaraderie, school spirit, or maybe just a good seat to watch a football game. But what about finding a life partner?
Vanessa Soper, BA ’05, and Jay Fuquay, BBA ’05, Life Members, didn’t cross paths on the Forty Acres. Instead, they met through events of the Texas Exes Dallas Chapter.
The duo is clearly well-matched, because they share a love of staying involved with the University: both sit on the Texas Exes Council and are board members of the Dallas Chapter. As if that weren’t enough, Vanessa also chairs the council’s Young Alumni Committee.
Oh, and their wedding venue? Vanessa and Jay were married on Dec. 30 at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center. Instead of wedding gifts, they asked guests to donate to the Soper Scholarship through the Texas Exes.
