The Alcalde sees a surprising number of UT-themed pastry creations. We have to credit this one for its creativity. Rachael Greve knew she wanted to surprise her groom (Brian Greve, BS ’03, Life Member) with a special Texas cake, but a giant edible Tower? Been there, eaten that.
Instead, Greve sent Michelle’s Patisserie a photo of Brian’s beloved Texas cooler, which he uses for both tailgates and fishing trips. The result shows that UT pride can be personalized, beautiful, and delicious. “Brian might have received more congratulations on his epic cake than on our nuptials,” Rachael says. Their wedding was in October 2010.
