James Huffines always knew that he would be a banker. But he didn’t know that he would be wildly successful at it, as well as at higher education advocacy and even mountain climbing. Currently president and COO of PlainsCapital Corporation, Huffines was one of six recipients of UT’s highest honor, the Distinguished Alumnus Award, on Oct. 14.
