What about in Northern Illinois?? Transplanted Texans need some Longhorn time!!
Sad to say, looks like I will be watching & supporting Tech tonight.
What about the Houston area??????
It is really sad that the Longhorn Network does not have the Longhorn games on TV. Austin is where the Horns are from. We should have 1st choice.I am a big fan of the Longhorns and a life-time member, so I am very disappointed in the way things are!
I hate the Longhorn Network!
Ditto
Very disappointed that you will only show hands for a price.
What about Houston Texas fans? I like to watch the Longhorns play and this year is horrible. Did you consider your fans when you launched yourn own network. I am on Comcast and would like for Fox Sports or network T V to show the games.
I have LHN and don’t see that it is playing on that channel. It is playing on a channel that I do not have unfortunately.
In South Texas we cannot get it at all. I do not think you all should be running games on that station without 99.9% of the country unable to watch. And what about the Kansas fans.
I have been a Longhorn fanatic all my life and I am very disappointed with the way the “suits” at the Longhorn Network has handled this new venture, thinking about money and not fans.
Horns arent quite good enough yet to be so exclusive. There is no sooner network.
We are UT season ticket holders. We can’t go to the game because I just had surgery. Can’t watch it on TV, either. Please make it more attractive for Dish Network and others to subscribe to the Longhorn Network. Come on guys,it’s not always about the almight dollar. I think there is enough money going around to satisfy everyone. Thank you for your time and consideration.
You forgot about Houston.. It’s kind of a big city..
We live in Northern California….two Longhorn exes and the biggest 14 year old fan you could imagine and NO WHERE to watch….help us out here!
Sure could use some coverage here in Washington State, what’s up with that? Hook’em Here Please!!!!!!
the longhorn network takes away from the fans. It’s wrong to keep this isolated from so many people that want to support UT. It;s like you’re selecting the people YOU want to. YOU need to open this up to all the DISH,DIRECT, and CABLE NETWORKS. iT’S A WIN -WIN .
I have bled burnt orange blood for over 50 years! And now this new network thingy has cut me off from my Longhorns. That network is the worst thing that has ever happened to UT fans.
The University of Texas quest for cubic dollars has left a vast number of their fans without being able to see their games. What next UT, pay per listen radio?
Just the opinion of a loyal Longhorn fan for 45 years.. Maybe if Mack Brown would spend more time recruiting and less time pitching this BS Longhorn network, the Longhorns might be worth going to the trouble of finding someone that subscribes to it.. Jerry Jones is a great promoter, couldn’t GM a college squad and what has all this got him, one hell of a stadium, the most valuable NFL franchise, but a team that runs third to the NBA Champion Mavs and the back to back World Series Rangers. And from the looks of things, the Longhorns will sit the post season out with the Cowboys.. Just saying… Did end a five game losing skid in the Big 12 today beating Kansas 43-0 but who saw it??
Thanks a lot for screwing over 90% of your fans. And the Big 12. Tech, A&M, TCU may all increase their fan bases with Texans looking for a new team to support.
I was ready to pay…whatever it took. We live in rural Texas…we have a choice of Directv or Dish.
Get it to where I can get it…and I will pay. (I graduated from UT…so I have plenty of money.)
I genuinely hope whoever is behind this Longhorn Network fiasco spends eternity in a place that is hotter than Austin was during the summer of 2011. . . in a faux fur full-length coat that he can’t remove. Like everyone who’s posted, I’m a life-long (63-year-old) Longhorn fan. I live in remote, rural Utah. I have to subscribe to Directv to get any tv reception. Now, I’m supposed to pay extra for the Longhorn Netword?!? To line whose pockets? Certainly not the student athletes, who bring in millions to the University but don’t receive (above the table) a dime for their work. This system of slave-labor doesn’t make Dodds, Brown, the Assistant Coaches, etc., rich enough? Whassup? Do they feel the need to be in the top .5%?!?
*Netword should be “Network”.
Come on Guys!!! The greed is getting out of control. First, we can’t watch the game on TV because we can’t get the Longlorn Network. Then, to add insult to injury, you block THE ZONE from carrying the game on internet radio. It’s starting to sound like the University is loosing touch with its fans (and reality considering the fact that the Longhorn Network isn’t selling). It is probably the single biggest issue leading to the demise of the Big 12. Believe it or not, there is a point where we will find another team to follow and somewhere else to send our donations.
I am a transplanted Longhorn fan in Northeast Ohio…and am VERY disappointed that the Longhorn Network is not a “Network”!! You should want that national coverage for your team, look how McCoy is coming up and Shipley…we loved their big brothers and we love them!! It would be nice to see the great University of Texas Longhorns play every weekend vs. a handful of times. ESPECIALLY THE RED RIVER RIVLERY!!!! That was crap!
I live in Lumberton near Beaumont. Does anyone know of a bar in the area that might be carrying the game? I know it’s not likely that there is a place to go but I had to ask.
