Oldest Living UT Football Player Featured on LHN
Here at the Texas Exes, we have a huge soft spot for John Henderson, BS ’36, the oldest living Longhorn gridiron legend.
It’s not just because he’s 98 years old. It’s not just because he was a genuine leatherhead. It’s not just because he lives at Longhorn Village (the Exes-affilited retirement community).
It’s really just because John and his wife, Charlotte, BS ’37, are absolutely delightful folks. The sight of the Hendersons meeting Mack and Sally Brown a few months back would warm the heart of any Longhorn fan.
The sharp minds over at the Longhorn Network saw the appeal of John and Charlotte still taking a charter bus to every home game, too, so they did a little feature video on him. It’s definitely worth a watch. Can’t see it above? Check it out here.
